What Happens After You Drop the Car Off?
With PPF, preparation takes longer than the application itself. The sequence in the studio runs like this:
Measurement and Inspection
Panels are measured with a digital gauge; respray, touch-up and weak clearcoat are identified. Risky panels are left out of scope where needed — that is the only safeguard against trouble at removal. The inspection is free.
Preparation and Application
The surface is decontaminated and preparation polishing is carried out on panels that need it. The necessary parts are cut precisely with a plotter; the film is applied in a dust-free, climate-controlled studio and the edges are finished cleanly.
Inspection and Handover
Edge, surface and tension checks are done under inspection light. The hood package is usually delivered the same day; for front-section and full-body work the car stays in the studio for a few days. A written warranty certificate is handed over at delivery.

Is paint correction needed before PPF?
Because the film is clear, holograms and fine scratches underneath remain visible; that is why preparation polishing is carried out on panels that need it. Whether it is needed is determined by the paint-thickness measurement at the pre-inspection.
