Paint Protection Film
Peak Detailing is a vehicle protection studio applying PPF (paint protection film) in its enclosed, climate-controlled studio in Sarıyer, İstanbul; we serve Maslak, Levent and the surrounding area. PPF shields your paint from stone chips, road debris, UV exposure and surface marring with a clear TPU film layer. Every application is completed with panel preparation, precision cutting, clean edge wrapping and a final handover inspection; the car is delivered with film documented by the manufacturer's technical data sheet (TDS) and a written warranty certificate. PPF prices start from 9,500 ₺ for the hood, 23,000 ₺ for the front section and 65,000 ₺ for full-body coverage; the pre-inspection is free.

A Studio Process Built Around PPF
PPF is Peak Detailing's core specialty; the studio layout, equipment and checklist are built around this work from end to end. Whatever the scope, every car goes through the same five stages — because the lasting result is decided as much by the preparation under the film and the environment it is applied in as by the film brand. These five steps are the precondition for keeping the day-one look for years.

Panel Preparation
Clay treatment and chemical decontamination strip the invisible residue off the surface; no particle is left to show under the film.

Digital Paint-Thickness Measurement
Before installation, every panel is measured with a digital gauge; local respray and touch-up history are detected, and the decision is made panel by panel.

Precision Cutting, Wrapped Edges
Parts that call for it are cut on a computer-controlled plotter with vehicle-specific patterns; we never force a single template onto the whole car — the right cutting method is chosen per panel. No blade touches the paint, and edges are wrapped inward on every panel where possible.

Application in a Dust-Free Booth
Installation happens in an enclosed, climate-controlled, dust-free booth; the centre-outward squeegee technique leaves no moisture or air under the film.

Light Inspection, Written Warranty
Edge, surface and tension checks are done under inspection light; a year-based written warranty certificate is handed over with the car.

How much does PPF cost?
The hood package starts from 9.500 ₺, the front-end package from 23.000 ₺ and full-body coverage from 65.000 ₺; with matte film these start from 11.000 ₺, 26.500 ₺ and 75.000 ₺. VAT is included. Do you apply matte PPF, and how much does it cost?
Yes; a matte (satin) film option is available alongside clear. Matte PPF starts from 11.000 ₺ for the hood, 26.500 ₺ for the front section and 75.000 ₺ for the full body, and all three film grades (2615 / 2715 / 2815 MF+) are available in matte. How many years of warranty does PPF carry?
For the ORAGUARD® PPF films we use, the manufacturer's maximum service life statement is 5 years for PPF 2615 GF+, 7 years for PPF 2715 GF+ and 10 years for PPF 2815 GF+ (vertical outdoor exposure, normal Central European climate). This is a service life statement, not a warranty; application-related issues are covered by the Peak Detailing workmanship guarantee, with a written document provided at handover. The TPU films we use are documented with the manufacturer's technical data sheet (TDS); the exact film series and warranty scope are confirmed at your appointment, together with a sample of the written warranty certificate.
How long does PPF installation take?
It depends on coverage: a hood package is usually delivered the same day, while front-end and full-body installations keep the car in the studio for a few days. The estimated delivery time is confirmed when you book.
PPF or ceramic coating — which should I choose?
They do different jobs: PPF is a physical barrier against stone chips and scratches, while ceramic coating adds deep gloss, hydrophobic behaviour and easier maintenance. Which one suits your car is decided at a free pre-inspection based on how you use it.
How does self-healing work?
The TPU films we use recover with heat: fine marks from daily use disappear with sunlight or warm water. Deep cuts are not covered; in that case only the affected panel's film is replaced.
Does PPF damage the paint?
With the right film and professional application, no. The risk comes from low-quality film, poor cutting and weak surface preparation. At Peak Detailing every panel is measured with a digital paint-thickness gauge before application; resprayed, touched-up or weak-clearcoat panels are assessed separately and left out of scope where needed. Does removing PPF pull the paint off?
On factory paint, removed within its service life and with the correct heat and technique, quality TPU film does not lift the paint. The risk rises on resprayed panels or weak clearcoat — which is exactly why thickness is measured beforehand. Removal must be as controlled as the application.
Does PPF turn yellow?
Yellowing occurs in the film itself, not the paint; when the film is replaced the paint underneath is intact. The topcoat on the ORAGUARD® films we use is designed to prevent yellowing and is documented in the technical data sheet.
Will PPF cause problems at a vehicle inspection?
No. A paint-thickness gauge also measures the film layer, so a PPF-covered panel reads a higher micron value and the film is detected — this is not a defect but evidence that the paint underneath is original.
