This article is a price guide: it explains, clearly, what range PPF coating prices sit in across Istanbul in 2026, what sets that price, and the difference between gloss and matte film. For the exact amount for your car and a region-by-region package selection, see the price configurator on our PPF coating service page; the goal here is to help you arrive at that quote well prepared.
Who is this guide for?
- Anyone wanting to know how much budget to set aside for PPF
- People comparing hood, front section and full body prices
- Those deciding between gloss and matte film
- Anyone asking "why does the same package cost differently on a different car?"
- Car owners getting PPF done in Istanbul and Maslak
What Determines the PPF Coating Price?
PPF is not sold at a fixed price like an off-the-shelf product; it is a protective layer cut and applied to each car individually. That is why the same "front section package" costs one amount on a compact sedan and another on a large SUV. Five core factors set the price:
Just the hood, the front section (front bumper + hood + fenders + headlight area), or the entire body? As the covered surface grows, so do film and labour.
Gloss film or matte film? Matte film is priced higher due to its per-square-metre cost and the extra care its application requires.
Film is applied by the square metre. Large-panel SUVs and estates need more film and labour than compact cars.
The chosen film brand, line and warranty scope affect the price. Higher lines may offer a stronger topcoat and a longer warranty.
If the paint has stone chips, light scratches or contamination, the preparation before application (decontamination, paint correction if needed) can add work and cost.
Because these factors combine, there is no single "PPF price"; the right approach is to talk through a starting range and reach the exact amount once the car is inspected in person. The tables below show exactly these starting ranges.
2026 Istanbul PPF Price Ranges
The figures below are Peak Detailing's 2026 "starting from" and VAT-inclusive starting ranges. The lower bound is the typical start for compact/mid-segment cars, while the upper bound is what is reached on large-segment cars. The exact price settles within this range according to the car.
| Area | Starting | Upper range | Typical scope |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hood | from 10,000 ₺ | 15,000 ₺ | Full hood surface |
| Front Section | from 25,000 ₺ | 35,000 ₺ | Front bumper, hood, fenders and headlight area |
| Full Body | from 70,000 ₺ | 100,000 ₺ | All exterior painted surfaces |
| Area | Starting | Upper range | Typical scope |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hood | from 12,500 ₺ | 15,000 ₺ | Full hood surface |
| Front Section | from 30,000 ₺ | 35,000 ₺ | Front bumper, hood, fenders and headlight area |
| Full Body | from 85,000 ₺ | 100,000 ₺ | All exterior painted surfaces |
These ranges are a guide to the band the price sits in, not a quote. For the exact amount tailored to your car, use the configurator on the PPF coating service page or book a free inspection appointment. All figures include 20% VAT.
Gloss or Matte? Effect on Price
PPF is applied in two main surface types: gloss and matte. Gloss film preserves the car's original glossy look while providing invisible protection. Matte film turns glossy paint into a matte (satin) finish; it offers both protection and an aesthetic change.
On price, matte film is generally about 15–25% more expensive than gloss film. There are two main reasons: matte film has a higher per-square-metre cost, and the matte surface requires more care during application and daily maintenance (for example, wiping with the wrong product can leave glossy marks on the matte texture). The starting difference in the tables reflects this too: 12,500 ₺ instead of 10,000 ₺ for the hood, 30,000 ₺ instead of 25,000 ₺ for the front section, and 85,000 ₺ instead of 70,000 ₺ for the full body.
Choosing matte film is not only a price question; it is about whether you want to permanently turn your car's currently glossy paint into a matte finish. Gloss film is the right call for those who want to keep the shine, and matte film for those aiming for a matte/satin look. Both work on the same physical protection principle.
Hood, Front Section and Full Body Difference
The reason for the large gap between the price ranges is simple: the amount of surface covered. The three main packages offer different logic depending on protection need and budget.
Hood PPF
The most economical starting point (from 10,000 ₺ gloss, 12,500 ₺ matte). It targets the hood — the single area that takes the most stone chips. It is a sensible first step for those on a limited budget who want to protect the most critical surface.
Front Section PPF
The most popular package (from 25,000 ₺ gloss, 30,000 ₺ matte). It covers the front bumper, hood, fenders and headlight area — that is, the entire front face of the car, which takes the most road-borne stone chips and micro-impact risk. For most users this is the strongest investment-protection balance.
Full Body PPF
The most comprehensive protection (from 70,000 ₺ gloss, 85,000 ₺ matte; up to 100,000 ₺ at the upper range). It covers all of the car's exterior painted surfaces. It is preferred on new, premium-segment, dark-coloured or long-term-kept cars to fully protect the original paint. The upper end of the range is reached on large-bodied cars with complex panel shapes.
If you want the technical detail of which areas PPF is applied to and the full scope of each package, our what is PPF coating guide explains it in depth. If you're wondering whether the film harms the paint, see our is PPF harmful? article. This article deliberately focuses on the price side.
Is PPF Expensive — Is It Worth It?
At first glance PPF can look like a large outlay. But the right comparison point is the cost of refinishing the car's original paint and the loss of resale value. Repainting a panel is both costly and reduces the "original paint" value; PPF, by keeping damage on the film rather than the paint, helps the original paint stay better protected.
PPF spending makes easier sense especially in these cases:
- Premium and dark-coloured cars: stone chips and micro-scratches show more on dark surfaces; resale sensitivity is high.
- Highway-heavy use: the risk of high-speed stone strikes is greater than in city use.
- Long-term ownership: if you will keep the car for 4–5 years or more, the cost spreads meaningfully over the protection period.
- A new car: PPF applied while the paint is brand new protects the original surface from the start.
By contrast, PPF is not always essential for those who will sell the car soon, only do low-risk city driving, or whose main expectation is shine. The right decision is made by weighing expectation and budget together with the car's usage profile.

Where to Get PPF in Istanbul and Maslak?
One thing matters just as much as the PPF price: the quality of the application. Even the best film looks poor and develops problems early if it is applied in a dusty environment, with rushed cutting or careless edge finishing. So when comparing quotes, look not only at the figure but at the application environment, the surface-preparation approach and references.
Peak Detailing carries out studio-quality PPF application in Sarıyer, Istanbul, and is located close to car owners in Maslak and the European Side. If you are coming from around Maslak, you can find area-specific information on our PPF coating in Maslak page.
For an exact price tailored to your car, a region-by-region package selection and a film-type comparison, use the price configurator on the PPF coating service page or simply book a free inspection appointment. At the inspection, a VAT-inclusive exact quote is given after a paint thickness measurement and surface check.
