GF+ / MF+ Difference
In ORAFOL’s coding, GF+ stands for gloss finish and MF+ for matte finish. The 2815 MF+ appears in the manufacturer’s global catalogue with its own TDS; the matte finish option of the 2615 and 2715 series is listed in the Turkish distributor’s product range, sharing the technical construction of the same series’ GF+ film. What is matte PPF?
Matte PPF is the matte (satin) finish variant of the TPU film that protects car paint against stone chips and scratches. It turns glossy paint into a satin look without a permanent paint change; when the film is removed, the paint underneath stays original.
How much does matte PPF cost?
At Peak Detailing, matte PPF starts from 11,000 ₺ for the hood, 26,500 ₺ for the front section and 75,000 ₺ for the full body (2615 MF+). With 2715 MF+ the hood opens at 13,500 ₺ and with 2815 MF+ at 15,000 ₺; VAT is included and 3 interest-free instalments are available.
Is there a protection difference between matte and gloss PPF?
No. As the distributor’s comparison also states, apart from the appearance both finishes provide the same physical protection; thickness, self-healing and service life statements are the same per series. The difference is the finish: gloss (GF+) gives a wet look, matte (MF+) a satin look.
How do you maintain matte PPF?
Do not use wax, polish or gloss enhancers on a matte surface — they can leave glossy marks on the matte texture. Hand washing with a pH-neutral shampoo is recommended; avoid brush-type automatic washes. The self-healing surface recovers everyday micro-marring with heat.
Can matte PPF be applied to glossy paint?
Yes; that is the most common use. Matte PPF gives a glossy car a satin look while protecting the paint. The colour does not change, only the surface finish becomes matte; when removed, the glossy paint reappears in its original state.
